My head is full of snot. I've got post nasal drip to the point where I have to make a conscious effort whether to breathe through my mouth or nose in an effort to avoid choking to death on my own mucus. One of the joys of being a boy is that I can talk about bodily functions without getting grossed out. Heh. Somewhere out there, my Tina is thinking to herself, "Ewwwww, baby, that's gross!" Heh. My throat is red and sore. I think I may have strep. We babysat the kids this past weekend and Julia tested positive for strep Monday morning.
One of my co-workers offered to bring me some soup tomorrow. Sopa de salchichon. Sounds good to me! I'm looking forward to it.
What else is wrong with me you ask? I've been experiencing serious TMJ symptoms for the past couple of weeks. Every time I open and close my mouth, I hear snap, crackle, pop, pop, pop, CRACK! And yes, it's painful. I think that my tension in trying to prevent the pops and cracks has caused my muscles in my neck and shoulders to get all cramped up. I've been having neck pain for two days now. I need to see a chiropractor. Bad! I had TMJ as a kid and went through years of therapy to fix it. I even had to wear braces to correct the position of my bite. 5 years all together of chiropractors, physical therapy and braces. I can't fathom having to go through it again. If this pain doesn't stop, I can see many Dr. bills in the future.
Now that I have whined about my health issues at the moment, I'm going to move on to something else.
It's cold outside.Have you noticed? This morning it was in the low 30s and my car was encrusted with frost. This was the first time I've had to defrost the car before I could drive. I can't believe winter is almost here already. This year has flown by!Thanksgiving is in a couple of weeks! That means Christmas is around the corner and we haven't started our shopping yet. I wonder how it's going to be with a puppy and a Christmas tree… at least it's not a real one and we don't have to worry about her drinking the water.
